ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

Grand Venezia brings Venice to the heart of India. Canals and waterways interlace the mall. The architecture and interior design is a lavish homage to the beauty of Venice, unlike anything in India today.

The central organizing features of the plan are a meandering canal and the central piazza evocative of the Piazza San Marco, which is the main atrium of the mall. The canal is designed such that each shop is accessible by it. The visitor has a choice of taking the gondola ride to access areas of the mall. For some, the ride will be pure entertainment!

The internal built environment of the mall is a juxtaposition of the Venetian residential architecture. A mix of balconies and sloping roofs interspersed with colonnaded facades and intricate stone railings come together to create a milieu reminiscent of the quintessential Venetian street.

The towering hotel building heralds the complex from the approach road while another tower is positioned at the intersection of the roads which mark the design response to a corner plot. The elements of the exterior of the building are carefully extracted from their Venetian originals. From the starkness of Doges' Palace to the intricate tracery of the arches of the St. Marks Cathedral, the imagery is a reminder of these icons and not a mere repetition, to recall the essence of the buildings of Venice.

Each aspect and feature of Grand Venezia will make a stunning impression of beauty and history, interpreted and supported by a very modern understanding of luxury.

RETAIL PLANNING & TENANT MIX

Specialized zoning will organise an extensive mix of services, brands and entertainment options for optimum returns.
