NOIDA: The district administration has filed an FIR against 42 officials from various government departments for dereliction of duty as they did not attend the poll-related training programme organized between February 3 and 8.

In all, 249 officials were absent from the training. The administration had warned that if the guilty officials failed to depose before the chief development officer by February 11 and provide valid reasons for their absence, they would be booked. “The FIR was filed against those 42 officials who did not heed this warning,” said DM, Hirdesh Kumar.

The administration had undertaken a training programme for 8,000 personnel culled out from various departments of the state and central governments, PSUs and the CISF for poll-related activities. However, the administration has not relieved the officials of the poll-related duties.
